Required Courses

  • BUSN 200: Entrepreneurship or BUSN 206 Global Social Entrepreneurship
  • ECON 200: Principles of Economics
  • BUSN 220: New Ventures: Start-Up to Exit
  • BUSN 350: Entrepreneurship Across the Disciplines
  • 1 course chosen in consultation with the minor advisor that provides a disciplinary focus to a student鈥檚 potential entrepreneurial activity (4 cr). Students must write a description of the connection between the course and a potential new venture to be approved by their advisor that identifies interdisciplinary aspects of the study and practice of entrepreneurship. Students may identify connections in one of four tracks for the study and practice of entrepreneurship: the Arts, Science & Technology, Social Change, and Communication. Courses currently offered in the four tracks that may spark entrepreneurial interest include the following, although others will emerge as the curriculum changes. Close consultation with the advisor and instructor in the course chosen is encouraged.
