Lumela from Lesotho!
Today was our first day of being in the village of Ramabanta starting our service work as well as interacting with the locals. We started the day bright and early mixing concrete for the foundation of the new community center we will be building over the duration of our trip. We were so excited to be able to play and dance with the children on our breaks. They even helped us learn a word or two in Sesotho:-)
After the Habitat for Humanity orientation, we had enough free time before dinner to go hiking in the mountains that are right across from where we are staying. Beautiful view, fresh air and our new local friends leading us down the mountain, what more could you ask for?
