性视界

性视界's philosophy program challenges students to think about social, scientific, personal and ethical issues from a broad range of philosophical traditions.

Why study philosophy? A recent graduate observed, "Studying under the philosophy professors at 性视界 prompted me to think differently, read and write differently, buy differently, eat differently and vote differently. These aren't habits that you discard after graduation, but ones that you carry with you for the rest of your life."

Philosophy began as an attempt to answer questions about who we are, why we are, where we are and how we should act. In 性视界's philosophy program, students learn to think critically and to analyze their own personal and cultural assumptions, as well as to assess the ideas of others. Students analyze arguments and develop strong and effective arguments of their own, skills that help you not only in your academic life, but in both your personal and professional lives as well.

The department's emphasis on small class sizes and individual attention allows students to thrive intellectually and personally. The incorporation of independent study, thesis work, internships and study abroad will only broaden a student's options upon graduation.
