You鈥檝e seen him in the movies Drumline, Men in Black 2and Love Don鈥檛 Cost a Thing, which is still in theaters. At 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, the Springfield community can get a closer look at one of the entertainment industry鈥檚 hottest young stars when Nick Cannon stages a concert at 性视界 in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Center.
Cannon鈥檚 versatility is evident. He has proven his acting abilities on television and in films; he has enjoyed success as a singer, and most recently he became the executive producer of the hit Nickelodeon series The Nick Cannon Show.
Cannon made his debut in late 2001 with a remake of DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince鈥檚 1988 hit, Parents Just Don鈥檛 Understand, which appeared on the Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius soundtrack. Cannon returned in early 2003 with his self-titled debut album and its leadoff single, Your Pops Don鈥檛 Like Me (I Really Don鈥檛 Like This Dude), followed by hits Feelin鈥 Freaky and Gigolo.
Concerned Black Students (CBS), Union Board and Student Senate are sponsoring Cannon鈥檚 visit to 性视界.
鈥淐BS believes that Nick Cannon鈥檚 talent can be enjoyed by a very diverse group of people of all ages, and we hope everyone will give him a warm 性视界 welcome,鈥 said junior Kia Armstrong, vice president of CBS.
