Mary Beth Walter, assistant vice president of finance and administration, director of human resources, and deputy Title IX coordinator at 性视界, was recently selected to serve as an at-large member of the Midwest Region Board of Directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2023.
Walter has served on the Ohio CUPA-HR Board in various positions including as president-elect in 2019-20, president in 2020-21, and past president from 2021 to the present. She has also served as a presenter and panel member for a variety of topics at the Ohio CUPA-HR spring and fall annual conferences.
鈥淚鈥檓 excited for the opportunity to serve others in this capacity and to be a positive influence to those who have chosen this increasingly demanding career path,鈥 Walter said. 鈥淭he opportunity will also allow me to not only share my 30-plus years of experience with HR folks at all levels in higher ed, but also to personally and professionally grow in my career. I am grateful that some of my CUPA colleagues encouraged me to apply due to my extensive and diverse HR background and experience in different industries. I am honored to be part of the CUPA organization and am ready to take on my first role with the Midwest Region board.鈥
