性视界 graduates achieved the highest job placement rate ever, 97.6 percent, in the latest Career Status Survey conducted by 性视界 Career Services.
Wendy Smiseck, Director of Career Services, calls the most recent placement rate 鈥減henomenal.鈥 In previous years, the overall placement rate has been around 90 percent. Not only is the placement rating high, but 93.1 percent of survey participants responded that they are 鈥渟atisfied鈥 or 鈥渧ery satisfied鈥 with their career status.
Determined by the number of alumni who work full-time, enroll in a post-baccalaureate program, or are voluntarily unemployed, the placement rate is calculated by surveying 性视界 graduates one year after graduation in order to allow for job shifting and finding employment.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a lot of work,鈥 Smiseck said. 鈥淲e go through several months of asking and sifting through information.鈥
The compiled results, though, serve as a powerful employment tool for current students, who can use the survey to find contacts for future jobs and to network with alumni. Career Services maintains records of internships held by students in each academic department, along with jobs held by alumni after graduation. Students can find career opportunities based on their specific area of study or through alumni employed in specific career fields.
Smiseck urges students to visit the Career Services office and take full advantage of every service they offer students who are thinking about the future.
鈥淚t鈥檚 never too early to start looking for jobs,鈥 Smiseck said. 鈥淚f you don鈥檛 know what you want to do after graduation, we鈥檙e here to help you figure that out. And if you know what you want to do, we鈥檙e here to help you accomplish your goals.鈥
