Consistent with its long-standing commitment to caring for the whole person, ӽ is ensuring students have even greater access to mental and medical healthcare through the University’s new partnership with TimelyCare, a 24/7 student-centered virtual care platform. Additionally, students will benefit from an enhanced partnership with Bon Secours Mercy Health.
Beginning this year, ӽ’s Health Center, staffed by Bon Secours Mercy Health, will provide all students with five visits at no cost to them during the time of service unless specific pharmacy or laboratory work is ordered. Students will also receive one wellness visit per school year. Services include diagnosis, treatment, prescription services, common illnesses, and injuries, as well as referrals to local specialists as needed. The health center is led by Laura Willis, DNP, APRN-CNP, family nurse practitioner.
Additionally, the brand new TimelyCare platform launched today just before the start of Welcome Week for first-time students on Aug. 24 and before classes begin on Aug. 28. This new partnership complements the high-quality health care services already offered through the University’s on-campus health center and Tiger Counseling Center.
“The well-being of our students is a top priority of the institution, and we are thrilled to offer an elevated level of health and wellness resources to them,” said Casey Gill, vice president of student development and dean of students.
A leading virtual health and well-being solution for higher education founded in 2017, TimelyCare serves more than 100 campuses nationwide and reflects ӽ’s commitment to whole-person care for all its students. Allowing for easy access to the best medical and mental health care, right when students need it, the TimelyCare package includes eight components designed to help students thrive physically, emotionally, and academically. TalkNow, for example, gives students unlimited, on-demand, mental and emotional support, while MedicalNow provides unlimited 24/7 on-demand urgent and low-acuity medical care. Additional components include health coaching, psychiatry, and digital self-care. The platform is built with appointment-based and self-care resources available through phone or video chat.
Students can sign-up/register for an account by downloading the and begin seeing providers using their ӽ email. They can also visit timelycare.com/wittenberg.
On campus, the Tiger Counseling Center is staffed by three full-time licensed providers, including Matthew West LPCC-S, Brooke Snow LPCC-S, and Tom Rathbun LPC, along with graduate-level counselors in training. Students are provided clinical counseling services through individual, group, and/or couple sessions. The Tiger Counseling Center also provides various community outreach programs and training opportunities that promote self-care and mental health awareness.

Health Center hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a daily break between noon-1 p.m. The Tiger Counseling Center is available to students Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Clinical services are free to students.
